Delphinus fall session

Our History - Delphinus (from the Greek for Dolphin) Swim Club was begun in the late 1970's by Lansing Community College's Richard Mull. The club was dormant briefly in the mid-80's until its re-inception in 1986. Rich Mull and coaches Rick Edwards and Bill Copland (both then at Lansing Eastern) were instrumental in its re-emergence. Many top local swimmers have found that Delphinus was the perfect place for them to combine the latest in stroke technique with challenging training. Our former athletes' achievements include competing at the US Olympic Trials; Senior Nationals; Junior Nationals; and Zones, and earning High School and college All-American honors, as well as countless high school conference championships. Delphinus placed no lower than third in the USS State Meet six meets in a row in the early and mid-90's. With the emergence of CAST in the late 90's, Delphinus' swimmer numbers have gone down, but the quality has remained high. Since the late 90's, many of Delphinus' high school and college swimmers have gone on to championship performances.
