Since Ben Guins is leaving us for the Army, we needed to move quickly to be sure that both our WaveRunners and Delphinus programs make as seamless a transition as possible. The good news for Lansing swimming is that we are bringing Lansing Eastern's head coach on board for the spring and summer. Bryan Scott is a 2004 graduate of Eastern High School where he swam on the Rick Edwards coached team along with Ben Guins.

We just found out less than 10 minutes ago (Friday, 3:00) that the LCC pool will NOT be closing for repairs until summer term ends on August 2. That, naturally, means that we will not be sharing swimming and pool time with DeWitt over the LCC break as was indicated last week. See next week's schedule above.

In order for you to start planning weekends, here's what we know so far. We're pretty set on the USAS meets, but obviously have not scheduled all the dual meets yet. The CASL meet is also not finalized. We do have three dual meets scheduled: Waverly on Tues., May 11, 6:00 warmup

Swimmers and Parents:

Since the LCC pool will be closed down for renovation to bring the drain into federal compliance during the LCC break (May 7-June 5), Delphinus/WaveRunners will need to use an alternate facility during that time.

The choice was made to not publish this information until such time as an adequate substitute arrangement had been secured. An arrangement has been made with DAST at DeWitt. We will be able to share pool time and staff with the DAST team during their sessions. Our staff will be on deck at all times alongside their staff.
