Championship Season Upon Us

With the championship season here, it is important for swimmers and their families to come together to do what can be done to ensure the success of the big meet(s).

So far, Eli Gaugush, Vaughn Holmes, Hao Wang, and Arison Harris have qualified for the USAS State Championship this month. For everyone else, this weekend's MTSL (Michigan Team Swim League) Championships are the culmination of our fall-winter seasons. We encourage you to do everything you can (that's under your control) to make this a successful weekend. Remember that times achieved this weekend do count towards the USAS State Meet.

Be at your designated practice, on time, excited, and ready to focus.

Eat well and sleep well.

Save energy by not doing extra physical activity that doesn't need to be done. (That doesn't mean you get out of household chores!)

Stay current with all on-going matters (like all schoolwork) so you don't have something hanging over your head this weekend.

Be nice to your family and fellow humans so you'll be in a good place this weekend.

Support your teammates in swimming excellence. Remember that it is a lot of fun to go fast!
