Overall good meet this weekend. The Novice Meet in Saginaw on Saturday produced lifetime best times from everyone who swam. Joey Ray and Neil Force were each 3/3 best times! Congratulations to them and to the others who swam: Amiya Harris, Owen Kilpatrick, Aslynne Luter, Kelliann Ray, and Becky Ray in the morning; Isaac Fernsler, Meagan Fernsler, and David Vandersloot in the afternoon. Team scores are not kept at the Novice meet.

The Championship Meet in Midland on Sunday also produced lifetime bests for all but one swimmer. Bobby Garza, Vaughn Holmes, and Lindsay Wing had all lifetime bests. Our girls also had two nice relays with Kirsten Climer, Ryanne Gumfory, and Maddie Jones joining Lindsay. The boys' side was rounded out by Eli Gaugush, Arison Harris, Tyler Holmes, Nick Kilpatrick, and Hao Wang. The medley relay of Vaughn, Hao, Bobby, and Nick won easily. When the points were tallied at the end of the meet, the WaveRunners won the 13-14 boys division for the first time since the old LSA team won it in 1979. Overall, we placed 9th, one point out of 8th.
